Frequently Asked Questions

Wall panel sketch 1

Aussie Wall panels feature a net effective installation coverage width of 1200mm (1.2 metres) and are cut to your exact specified lengths on the manufacturing floor (minimum length 1.8m).
They are available in standard 0.4mm steel skins, or a 0.6mm heavy-duty Premium skin for structural partition projects requiring maximum strength.

Aussie Wall’s standard profile in 0.4mm steel skins is Plain Smooth (flat) both sides.

Aussie’s Premium Wall in 0.6mm steel skins offers three distinct architectural surface profiles to balance aesthetic street appeal with commercial utility: Plain Smooth (standard), VJ Ribbed (by request), and Satinline Micro-groove (by request).

Wall panel installations do not use roof-style screw charts; instead, they slot securely into male/female (tongue-and-groove style) custom perimeter tracks which lock them together side-by-side.
We supply a complete structural system of matching aluminium extrusions to finish your project:

  • Base Channel: Stocked sizes matching 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 150mm panels.
  • Angles: Dimensions include 25×25, 40×40, 50×50, and unequal 70×40 options.
  • Door Frames: Suitable for 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm panels. Frames use a door gasket for sealing.
  • Hygiene Covings: Certified 35mm Radius and Arrowhead coving lengths for food-safe wall-to-floor junctions.
  • Hardware Fixings: Teks screws, cold room rivets, hammer pins, and heavy-duty Shuredrive anchors.
  • Mastic: For an airtight, thermal envelope.

Thermal performance (R-values) and system insulation properties scale precisely by core thickness:

  • 50mm Thickness: Declared R-Value 1.20 | Winter Total R: 1.41 | Summer Total R: 1.36
  • 75mm Thickness: Declared R-Value 1.80 | Winter Total R: 2.04 | Summer Total R: 1.94
  • 100mm Thickness: Declared R-Value 2.40 | Winter Total R: 2.66 | Summer Total R: 2.53
  • 150mm Thickness: Declared R-Value 3.60 | Winter Total R: 3.91 | Summer Total R: 3.72
  • 200mm Thickness: Declared R-Value 4.85 | Winter Total R: 5.16 | Summer Total R: 4.91
  • 250mm Thickness: Declared R-Value 6.05 | Winter Total R: 6.41 | Summer Total R: 6.09

For cleanrooms, commercial commercial cool rooms, abattoirs, and commercial kitchen lineouts, panels are specified with a high-performance COLORBOND® Intramax® finish. This specialized BlueScope® steel coating is explicitly certified as food-safe, resists bacterial aggregation, and can withstand aggressive, high-pressure chemical sanitization washdowns without degrading the steel’s defensive primer layer.

Aussie Wall is fully BCA Compliant and carries independent CodeMark™ Accreditation (Certificate Number: CM40104). The high-density insulation core is rolled from premium fire-retardant expanded polystyrene (EPS-FR).

In official testing under AS/NZS 1530.3 parameters, the structural panel composition achieved maximum safety scores, limiting smoke and dangerous toxic outgassing to a minimal Smoke Index rating of 2–3. The panel walls are fully certified for asset protection in BAL-40 Bushfire Attack Environments, provided all raw, exposed foam edges are fully encased using our matching BAL-40 flashing lines during installation.

Store panel packs under cover — ideally indoors — away from direct sunlight, rain and wind. Packs should sit on a flat surface (such as a concrete slab) and be raised off the ground on suitable supports, such as foam blocks or timber bearers. Do not stack other materials on top of the pack.
The protective plastic film must be removed within 4 weeks of delivery or pickup. Prolonged exposure can bond the film to the paint, causing the paint to peel on removal.
Incorrect or long-term storage may damage the protective film or cause panel deterioration, and will void your warranty.

Important Project Notes: Aussie Panels provides structural material take-off estimates as a project guide only; the executing builder, on-site contractor, or independent certifier must manually verify the final Bill of Materials (BOM) for accuracy prior to distribution. It remains the absolute structural responsibility of the project installer to verify that any existing foundations or residential structures have the engineering capacity to safely support added insulated panel weights. We recommend displaying standard caution and non-trafficable signage clearly across completed commercial workspaces.
